Yeah, state management libraries solve business problems, the more the better. I believe the team doesn't want to be based on observables because they want something more slim and something they can change whenever they want, in order to optimize for the framework, optimize the rendering for those values. But, even though they won't be based on observables, they definitely will provide utilities for both of them to be used together, because they will need a bridge from rxjs to the built-in reactive primitive.
